The insole was way too slick so I needed to add some grip tape to keep from sliding in the shoes. The outsole wears down much too quickly for such a pricey pair of shoes -- after 60 hrs (~2.5mo) the treads are balding and the midsole is starting to get exposed on one.
Other than those 2 issues these are great fitting shoes. I bruised my heals wearing barefoot style shoes (which were fine on gym floors but not on hard court); these provide enough cushion.

Hi there, thank you for your detailed feedback. We're glad to hear the fit works well for you, but sorry about the issues with the insole and outsole wear. We have e-mailed you directly so we can address this :)

Love the shoes. Unfortunately they wear out within two months of play. I would buy again if the price wasn’t so high. If shoes only give you 2 months of durability they should probably be priced under $100

Hi Anthony, thank you for your feedback. We have reached out individually to better understand use. Durability of court shoes is measured in hours as opposed to time since someone who plays 15 hours per week will not get the same durability as someone who plays 2hs. We are happy work with you to determine next steps!

Only two pickle ball days so far. Seems to be a great shoe and I am playing better in them. I have a low volume foot, not flat feet, but rigid and thin. So there is a little bit too much material on top, so that it puckers a bit when i tighten down the laces. That can't be helped for a one size fits all, and the lateral movement protectors make the shoe a little less conforming to my foot than a simple mesh upper.

I was lucky and honored to meet Cedric in Boulder CO.the founder of notance the zero gravity shoe. I got to wear a pair of Notace shoe and I love the feeling of being closer to the ground and have The stability to move at ease. Thank you Cedric I’m honor to be part of your journey to make the shoe popular among the tennis players/ pickleball players and coaches alike.
Ciao, Marc

I took a big swing on a brand I had never heard of because I wanted a wider toe box. So far no regrets. Quality is solid, they look great, very sturdy.

I love my KOTO shoes. I wear minimal shoes all the time, but could not find a shoe to play pickleball in. The wide toolbox pickleball shoes I was wearing always made my feet hurt. I’ve been wearing the Koto shoes for one month playing 3 to 4 times a week and my feet are pain free. I love the zero rise and the roomy toe box. I am so glad I found this brand.

I played tennis all through high school and college and now very into pickleball. I play 2-4x a week. I've tried dozens of tennis shoes over the years but this is the first time I didn't need a break in period. My feet feel great after playing a couple of hours. The wide toe box is awesome and there's just enough cushion for comfort. Can't recommend these enough.

Very comfortable, enjoy playing in them.

Terrific shoe. I understand that this is an all court outsole, and it does the job pretty well on clay. Maybe in the future there will be enough demand for a clay specific outsole but it's not a deal breaker. The comfort is excellent and my feet feel fresh after two hours of tennis. Stock laces are a bit too stretchy and long but replaced with a shorter version and it works fine. Great release and will be back for more!

Hello Dean and thank you for your feedback!! We designed the Koto for court, so we do not have a lot of information on how it does on clay yet. Glad to hear it's working out well for you :)

These are the tennis shoes I’ve been waiting for. I wear zero drop, wide toe box shoes throughout the day and now I finally have an option for tennis. They feel fantastic on the court. I play 4-5 times a week. However, my big concern is durability. I’m already seeing noticeable wear, and I’ve only had the shoes for 1 week. Fingers crossed they hold up better than I’m expecting. If they do hold up, I’ll give them 6 stars!

These shoes have given me a new foot. Issues for 15 years and I've tried every shoe from every company for Tennis and this one is it. Good job.!

The shoes are well constructed and fit my feet just fine. The foot-shaped style really alleviate the pain from bunions. However, the sole wears out too fast. I bought a pair and used them for a mere three months and each has a hole near the big toe. I've to patch the holes with Shoe Goo

I love em! I'm used to minimal drop shoes, so it was easy to adapt to the change! I would like the laces to be shorter!

I have used the Xero X1 and the Koto's are by far the best.

Very comfortable. Started using barefoot shoes and was ready to make the switch to barefoot shoes on the court. I am using these for padel and racquetball. My feet are happy. No discomfort, toe box is plenty wide, true to size, do not order up. If you are an 11.5, order an 11.5.

I purchased these to play basketball in, as I have a Morton’s Neuroma in both feet, and the wide toe box, zero drop, and , importantly, cushion, have allowed me to play pain free. It’s absurdly difficult to find basketball shoes with a wide toe box, and these have let me get back to playing. I’d love to see a basketball-specific shoe someday!

I purchased one pair of the koto -1 shoes to try out for pickleball. All I had to do was wear them one time to discover they are great for my feet. The wide toe box and zero drop footbed allow me to play 3 to 4 times a week. My feet are never sore. They provide good lateral support and the soles work great on outdoor surfaces. I was so pleased, I purchased a second pair and will probably buy a third pair. Thank you Notace for these great court shoes!

Purchased the Koto 1 in all blue. I transitioned from an Asics Gel shoe. I am extremely particular about my feet and spend a lot of time researching shoes - low to no drop, wide toe box, stability vs no stability etc. I have extremely flat feel and this is by far the most comfortable padel shoe I have ever owned. The wide toe box and the shoe build is really sold. I use alternate inserts, but that is because of my foot, nothing to do with the shoe. I am very pleased I found this company.

Because of an issue with the major metatarsal pad on my right foot, I've been transitioning to zero drop shoes. The last pair of shoes to change out was my pickleball shoes. I was going to try Kuurt pickleball shoes, but most reviews were negative with respect to customer service, returns and quality. The only positive was that they were cheaper than the Koto 1. I elected to purchase the Koto 1 because of the high percent of positive reviews across the board. I wore mine for the first time for about an hour and a half while playing multiple games. While they have much less cushioning than my current Skecher's pickleball shoes, they had enough. I actually felt more sure footed than with any of the 20 plus pickleball shoes I've owned. And, after playing, my feet were not tired or sore. I will be playing again on Tuesday. If the Koto 1 is still as comfortable and stable, I will be ordering another pair. I'm not concerned with with wear of the soles, just the comfort and stability. I'm 84 and these are the most important aspects for me. Thank you for making the Koto 1.

Everything about the shoe fit and feel is nearly perfect. Could add a bit more cushion to the insole but that is personal preference and I can add my own insoles.

A huge issue is the durability of the rubber. I’ve probably played 10 hours and they are really starting to wear down. The price tag and durability do not match. Please make these with better rubber like the Michelin on the babolat.

Good room in the toes. Wish it had more cushion.
