Sooo in love with these shoes so far!

I've worn the Yama 1 Mens in the rust color for two days at work. Amazingly, the were EXTREMELY comfortable. I thought at my teaching job, the thinner sole would be unbearable after a two or three hours on that hard concrete floor, but to my surprise, they were absolutely comfortable. There is something amazing to having your feet level with the floor!!! My feet and/or legs get tired with my other thick soled tennis shoes or semi-casual soft soled leather shoes. Amazing! I noticed how stable and in balance I felt with the Yama 1's. I think my next move is to get a black ones!!

So comfy. So lightweight. Perfect for my orthotics and my hammertoe which hurts with every other pair of shoes I own. These look cute with everything and remind me of saddle shoes from when I was a kid!! I recommend wholeheartedly

I have wide feet with neuropathy. Shoe shopping is one of my least favorite things to do. Just trying shoes on that are not wide enough makes my feet go numb. Sizing up to get extra width makes them sloppy and a bit dangerous to walk in. The fact that Notace designs start first with a wide toe box caught my attention. I was slow to pull the trigger until the new color in the Yama 1 came available.

After purchasing different shoes over the past couple years and returning every pair I am happy to report they have a true wide toe box without having to size up! I love the light weight yet tough materials, and they are nice looking too.

I’m excited to start walking more confidently for health, and to accomplish chores in my abundant gardens, orchard, and vineyard having a rural uneven terrain. Thanks for living up to your marketing and my expectations.

Holes in both shoes at my toes after a couple months. Wish the toe reinforcement was a bit wider. Otherwise, very comfortable.

I have been a long time Vivo Primus Trail fan growing increasingly frustrated with the poor build quality and narrowing toe box. Decided to give Notace a try and I am not dissappointed. I was concerned about the increase in stack height and cushion, but there is still a great deal of ground feel. The room in the toe box is perfect, solid tread and the breathability is amazing. I have put 50 miles of hiking Rocky Mountain trails on them so far and have had no durability issues. Very happy with this purchase and the crew at Stride Lab were great! Would love to see some more color options.

These shoes are the goldilocks shoe. They tick pretty much every box: Anatomical toe box, flat, medium cushion (perfect of rocky trail running like I do in Utah), insanely flexible due to the sole design (actually incredible given the 15mm stack height), and they look good too.

My only gripe is that I am lazy and sometimes don't want to untie my shoes to take off/put on, and these are so secure + lack a heel pull tab that it makes that exact lazy habit difficult.

I have endless good things to say about these shoes. They are also a fantastic do-everything travel shoe. Because of the lug pattern and how much surface area each lug has, they won't wear prematurely like other trail-oriented shoes. I feel confident walking and occasionally running concrete/pavement with them.

They are just cushioned enough to prevent unnecessary fatigue but plenty nimble for technical trails. I feel confident wearing this, no matter the situation (so long as I don't have to take them off and put them on quickly).9.5/10 shoe.

Outstanding! Thick enough sole to run in (unlike other minimalist/barefoot shoes), supremely comfortable upper, lightweight, and my running mechanics feel like a dream. Very much a Goldilocks shoe.

As a running hobbyist, I have been committed to adapting to the barefoot living since 2023. I've also had a share of injuries and setbacks during that adjustment period. Out of pairs of Altras, Xero shoes, Born Primative sneakers, Birchbury dress shoes, and way too many Lems to count, I finally have a shoe that's cushioning without being too springy, lightweight without being thin, and supportive yet not constricting. The fit is perfect: wide to box, snug heel. The sole is perfect: zero rise, perfect degree of flexibility and ground feel. They’re light, and they look great. But they have a major flaw: the tongues don’t stay still even with the thread holes for the laces which are meant to hold them in place. This is nearly a perfect minimalist trail runner, but the tongues are a significant area for improvement.

I have used this shoe for 2 weeks now and right from the start i knew my barefoot shoe patience had finally rewarded me. I have used barefoot/ minimalist shoes for quite some time now and have gained insight from learning more about foot mechanics, running form, and the importance of a wide enough toe box. My first impression was that the shoe is so light and form fitting that it feels like its a part of your body. I took them on a trail run and its responsive midsole/outsole made it feel like i had a super strong and elastic-like fascia (look up Dr Mark Cucuzella's book if you wanna learn more about this) since i felt so bouncy. This protective mid/outsole is thick enough to protect you on technical terrain but just enough so that you can feel the objects, rocks, holes, and uneven terrain you are landing on. The grip performed stellar since i have not slipped or fallen on dirt, rocky, or muddy terrain even when running in the midst of rain. They also perform great on pavement so I was surprised to learn that they are creating another model specifically for road running (sign me up for this one and their next tennis court shoe). The materials this shoe is made of seem very durable but very light at the same time. This is probably the lightest running shoe i have ever worn.

Now for the foot shape of the shoe: I have mountain shaped feet, which means that many of my toes are of similar length. This means that the tapered lateral side of the toebox can make contact with my 4th and pinky toes. My longest foot measures 26.5cm and Notace recommends adding 1.25 cm to your foot length to choose the right size and i landed on the size 10. This size 10 made too much contact with my 4th and pinky toes so i 1/2 sized up. Notace CS was on point, i received my new size 10.5 pair a couple of days later and my toes were able to splay freely. Since I sized up, I added an insole in order to fill in the shoe a bit better. My feet are low- to medium volume and this shoe seem to have a lot of volume. This means I also had to tighten the shoe a bit more so i replaced the shoelaces for shorter ones to prevent tripping on them.

Overall, as you can read in this review, i am beyond thrilled with this shoe. I ran my first 5k trail race today and they were so fun and nimble to race in. If Notace asked me if there is any room for improvement i would add 2 things: 1) make the last of the shoe less tapered so they can better fit pizza shaped feet, and mountain shaped feet (although this can be remedied by size 1/2 size up). 2) Separate the eyelets a bit more from across each other, so that cinching the shoelace can resolve any fit issue ppl with low-volume feet may have.

So good JM AUDIO wants to sell them on our web site! The shoe I have been looking for. True to size. Super support and comfort. No other sneaker I tried like Vibro or 4 different Altra's models feels as comfy. I own the Vibro knit and its more premium leather where this one seems to use vegan leather and it has cheap feel when touched- they still feel more comfy in the box toe area and on top by Cuneiforms area of foot top Navicular which vibro can feel too tight when you tighten the shoe down- NOT THESE! they fit like a glove or should I say like a slipper! Will buy more for sure and if they let me JM AUDIO EDITIONS NY USA wants to be a dealer in these that's how much I believe in them!

I’m new to the minimalist shoe game, so I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. But from the moment I tried these on, I was intrigued — that wide toe box and clean, simple design had me curious.

The first thing I noticed? How light they are. It seriously feels like walking barefoot — but with just the right amount of cushion. Every step feels natural, flexible, and supported. The soles bend easily, the laces are sturdy, and overall, they’re just ridiculously comfortable to walk in.

Comfortable and versatile tennis shoes that are also barefoot style! These shoes are so perfect, I change my clothes, but not my shoes—I wear them from hiking to casual! Every step is filled with comfort.

Got my Yama T1 recently. They are very comfortable and stylish. I am very happy with them!

Well made shoe. The sizing chart provided on the site was not accurate. The shoe ran small. Customer service was great on the exchange but to pay for returns/exchanges upfront or pay for postage is not conducive when I have other memberships where I have free returns and exchanges. I’m not quite sure of the fit on the exchanged shoe. My New Balance minimalist shoe is a comparable price point and I’m not doubting the sizing. TBD if I purchase again in the future. I’ll wear them with an open mind.

I love the look of these but more importantly, the fit. Huge help for my morton's neuroma. I can wear on long walks in any terrain. My new favorite sneaker.
