Customers praised these court shoes for exceptional comfort with a wide toe box and zero-drop design, ideal for pickleball and tennis. Many noted "no break-in time needed" and excellent traction. However, some reported sizing runs small, durability concerns, lack of arch support, and rubber smell. A few mentioned sizing up half a size worked well.

Following the website’s suggested sizing guidelines, I ordered my usual 9.5 and it’s painfully small. I’m extremely disappointed because I need a good pickleball shoe, not one that smashes my toes. Please update your sizing!!!!

As a newer padel player, these are my first dedicated court shoes after playing in running shoes. Compared with my previous shoes, I noticed much better traction, greater lateral stability, and improved heel comfort. They also provide some cushioning, which I personally find necessary. The toe box is roomy and comfortable without feeling sloppy. I usually wear a US women’s 7.5, but I ordered a size 8 in these, and the fit is just right, so I’d recommend sizing up half a size.

Happy wife, happy life. She really like the comfort and stability this shoe provides. Toe box is perfect and the heel remains snug, unlike your typical wide court shoe that is wide heel to toe, creating slippage in the heel and uncomfortable.

I purchased this to play pickleball. Before this, the only brand of shoes that worked for my tennis and pickleball was KSwiss.
Two years ago, I developed plantar fasciitis. I switched to Xero shoes to lift weight in the gym and it helped a lot and they pain went away. The Xero shoes are too flat for my court playing experience. I saw NotAce advertised through social media and decided to try them. I love them! For reference, I wear dress shoes size 6.5 but purchased size 7 and they worked out great.
At first the shoelaces kept falling off so I used to double knot my shoes, but since I saw the the tuck pocket for the shoelaces, that has worked out great too! Thanks for developing a wide toe-box shoes for the courts!

So far I like the shoe, the only thing is it ran 1 whole size smaller than what I order in my other barefoot shoes. I typically order those in an 8 and needed to get this in a 9 and even considering a 9.5 at this point.

Within 1 week of receiving these shoes, I have ordered another pair for the gym. They have the perfect wide toe box. Some wide toe box shoes are excessively wide. This pair was purchased for court shoes and were immediately comfortable. Happy feet.

Koto 1 is one of the few wide toe box shoes I know. It is comfortable but since the soles' fabric is quite smooth, this leads to me slipping inside my shoes. I replaced the sole with my old running shoes' sole that had more texture. My foot doesn't slip and slide in the shoe now, and it feels more secure.

These are great shoes but need more arch support.

They are so comfortable while playing tennis. Love them

Great support! I bought these shoes after reading a review from Gsit happens. I have hallux rigidus and the toe pain continued to worsen despite getting custom-made orthotics, taking supplements, and getting stem cell injections. I have tried various other shoes while playing pickle ball: Skechers, KSwiss, Babolet, with continued pain. I put These shoes on and played for 2 hours straight. I actually forgot about my feet! The support and traction were great! I usually wear size 8 1/2 but bought size 9 and they fit perfectly. I only hope they last because I love them!

Feet feel very stable. No supination which has been an issue with many athletic shoes. Love the wide toe box but rest of shoe is snug.

Love these shoes!! Exactly what I was looking for in a pickleball shoe. Not worried about cramped toes or rolling an ankle. They have good grip and are comfortable to wear.

Truly no notes. The perfect balance of cushion/support and flexibility. Love the wide toe box and space for my toes to splay naturally. Super comfortable and stylish shoes!

So far so good. I played pickleball for one and a half hours and didn’t notice my feet once, in a good way. My toes had lots of room and my heels were locked in. I expect them to continue being comfortable and I hope the bottoms last a long while. Only time will tell.

Horrible customer service. Shoes stink with heavy rubber smell. Runs small but i do not want to exchange for all the hassles dealing with customer service. Will not order again.

Finally received the shoes, it was delayed due to holiday but the customer service is horrible at providing solution. The shoes smell heavily with rubber smell. Does not worth the hype. Will try other brand.

I have a very hard time finding shoes wide enough with no drop for my feet. I decided to try Notace and wore them on the court for the first time today and LOVE them! Finally, a shoe that I love! So light weight and comfortable! Thanks so much!!

I'm wearing the Koto 1 for pickleball, and it's the first court shoe I've found that doesn't make my toenails lift or bruise.
I've tried everything over the years—buying longer and wider shoes (my feet just slid around), tying my laces tighter (which just made my feet hurt), and even wearing socks with grip bottoms to keep my feet from sliding forward. Nothing solved the problem. My toes were always sore, and my toenails would bruise and lift after playing.
The Koto 1 finally fixed it.
The heel-lock flaps that the laces pull through at the back of the shoe securely hold my narrow heel in place, so my foot doesn't slide forward and jam my toes into the front of the shoe. At the same time, the wide toe box gives my toes plenty of room to move naturally. Nothing feels cramped or under pressure—it's just incredibly comfortable.
I can stay on the court longer because I'm not thinking about my feet anymore, and that's the highest compliment I can give a pickleball shoe.
My only request: Please restock the White & Green colorway! I'd also love to see more sophisticated color options beyond the typical flashy court-shoe palette. Colors like Blue Smoke, Graphite, Taupe Grey, Green Haze, Steel Blue, Soft White, Smoky Lilac, and Blue Spruce would be amazing. There are plenty of us who would love athletic shoes in softer, more understated colors.
This shoe has been a game changer for me. Highly recommend!

I bought my Koto's at the end of April 2026. I play pickleball in a rec league for about 4-6 hours/week. I don't wear them in/out of the building; only on the indoor court. It is now the end of June 2026 and the inside heels on both shoes have torn/ripped; I had to patch them with moleskin to hopefully get some more life out of them. And the soles are already wearing down too. This is incredibly disheartening and actually quite frustrating! It is already difficult to find wide toe box shoes; I thought I found them. Unfortunately not. And, not to mention, $165 is an exorbitant amount of money to spend on shoes that barely lasted 2 months and not under extreme or harsh conditions. I had quite a few people ask me about them and I will definitely not be recommending.

Hi Jennifer, we're sorry to hear that the shoes did not meet your expectations. The Koto is a very lightweight shoe, and the expectation is not that it will last for several months for someone who plays 4-6hs/week. Durability is measured by hours of play, not by how long you have the shoes; at about 50hs of play you mentioned getting, wear is completely normal and expected. With that being said, we want you to have a good experience and we will be reaching out directly to discuss how we can make this right! We will also take your feedback into consideration as we are always looking to improve our product.

Thank you :)

Most comfortable pickleball shoes I have!

These shoes are super cute and comfortable. The toe box has ample room and it isn't rubbing anywhere funny. I walk 4 miles a day in them and didn't need to "break" them in.

My new court shoes have been a hit from the moment I first wore them — no break-in time needed, just comfortable right out of the box. After four sessions on the court, I’m still loving them, and the compliments keep coming. They turn heads not just for how they perform but for how they look. My husband and son-in-law were sold on my recommendation and have already ordered a pair for themselves.

The CrossFit shoe I’ve been looking for! Comfortable from the first day I put them on and enough structure to keep my still-healing ankle in supported. Excited that I was able to get a proper women’s size and not have buy men’s. So happy I came across this brand at the Barefoot Shoe Expo.

I have reached out to the team to ask for assistance, as not sure why they do not support arch supports, and think that would resolve the issue of my foot sliding ( they are too big ).

I love how these are so flexible feeling on contact with the court. My custom orthotics don't fit (shoes aren't high enough inside), but I can fit in over the counter insoles. All feels well, and I haven't felt foot pain from residual plantar fasciitis.
