Very impressed with the T1s! I’m an avid minimalist runner, covering everything from 5Ks to 300-mile ultras, and for years I’ve relied on altra escalante for minimalist performance. The Yama T1s hit that same sweet spot of ground feel, comfort, and durability, but where the T1s stood out was the premium materials used as well as a lighter foam underneath the foot. They feel light and natural on runs, but sturdy enough for long days on my feet, even when running on pavement. I'm a 100 miles into my T1s and I'd say I would get these again for sure.

I am super happy with my pair of Yama's. The fit of the shoe is great and really provides a nice wide toe box while still locking in the rest of my foot.

The eTPU midsole feels great underfoot, providing a lightweight and flexible ride. I am pleasantly surprised by ride of the midsole, particularly for such a low profile shoe. In my experience with other shoes with low stack height the underfoot can be somewhat jarring. This has not been the case with these.

Lastly, I really am pleased with the aesthetics of this shoe. It is a great looking shoe that I can wear on the run, in the gym, or around town.

Light, quick and responsive. Exactly what the minimalist shoe market has been missing. Allows for lots of ground feel while providing some cushion for rocky terrain. Snug heel of a performance shoe. Overall pretty impressive. Still need to try it on more technical terrain to see how it holds up and performs.

The most comfortable and visually aesthetic shoe I have worn. Room for my toes, flexible and barefoot feel without having the hard pavement underneath my feet. I am also not embarrassed to wear these in public! They remind me of On with a more comfortable feel.

To be fair, I haven’t run with these yet but when I tried them on at the Barefoot shoe expo I was ecstatic that finally there was a running shoe with a wide toe box that didn’t have a massive stack height (Altras) or feel really squishy (Topo) or too minimalist for the rocky trails where I live (Wildling and many others) or pinch my toe weirdly (Vivo). They fit super comfortably right out of the box. I typically wear a 9 in barefoot shoes but I was between a 9 and a 9.5 so depending on how much space you like at your toes you might want to size up. I hope you all come out with more color choices at some point but for now, thank you so much for making these awesome shoes!
